The Autumn contest is for all players who are in member bands of the LBBA. There are 15 sections for different age ranges and open section with competitions for Solos, Duets, Quartets, Sight reading and Air-Varies.

The October Solo Contest is exclusively for LBBA band members

Commonly known as the "Leicester" contest, the association's November Open Brass Band contest is increasing in popularity. The event is now held in the halls of Garendon High School and adjoining Burleigh Community College in Loughborough.

At the LBBA 2009 AGM it was decided to stop running the LBBA annual quiz due to declining interest from member bands. If you have any new suggestions for other association events, in addition to our contests we'd love to hear from you. Thanks.
