Foresters Brass 2000

The organisation can trace its roots back to the beginning of the century. In 1902 the Bread Street Mission Band was created and this band then belonged to several organisations before becoming the Leicester Foresters Band in 1958. Two decades later it become known as the Band of the Ancient Order of Foresters. The band has played in many prestigious venues, including many performances in London’s Royal Albert Hall. The dawn of the new Millennium brought a change in direction for the band. The Foresters Brass Ensemble was formed and this, coupled with a merger with the successful Midlands based Brass 2000, means that two separate musical ventures now represent the Foresters under a new banner: Foresters Friendly Society Brass.
